We are assisting a local medical office in the recruitment of a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join their team for a brief assignment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing medical claims, ensuring accuracy in billing, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This role plays a key part in the revenue cycle by securing timely payments from patients and insurance providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies and patients

• Review and verify accuracy of patient billing and insurance information

• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving issues as needed

• Post payments, adjustments, and reconciliations to patient accounts

• Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in medical billing or healthcare administration preferred

• Knowledge of medical terminology, billing codes (CPT, ICD-10), and insurance processes

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
