Accounts Receivable Specialist

Hours:  8-5 / M-F

Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will assist in ensuring the company receives payment for goods and services offered to the clients. This position requires an individual that is organized with the ability to multi-task and possess good customer service and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivable transactions – cash, checks, ACH and Credit Card
• Prepare daily cash receipts for electronic processing and weekly physical bank deposit
• Soliciting and collection of payment on account receivable balances in a timely manner
• Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
• Set up and maintain customer accounts
• Process government billing
• Process customer returns invoices
• Assist with other accounting and finance tasks as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable or related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Possess high ethical standard and integrity
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office Applications including Excel
