Financial Data Analyst

Hours:  8:30-5:00 / M-F

Responsibilities:

• Oversees database development and modification efforts
• Designs and implements secure, efficient, and accurate databases
• Maintains current and accurate knowledge of data storage and management best practices
• Provides quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary
• Identifies business rules that govern how data is transformed, integrated and used
• Identifies and resolves production and/or application development problems related to the use of the database management system software
• Gathers, organizes, and interprets statistical data from the database to provide reports to, and answer questions from, management
• Supports initiatives for data integrity and normalization
• Generates reports from single or multiple systems
• Evaluates changes and updates to source production systems
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required
• At least 3+ years’ work experience as a data analyst
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (creating formulas, pivot tables and V-lookup)
• Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
• Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
• High-level written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
• Ability to succeed in a collaborative work environment and work cross-functionally
