Job Description
Hours: 8-5 / M-F
The HR Coordinator will undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. The HR Coordinator should be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure end-to-end running of HR projects and operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Place employment ads
- Review resumes to ascertain the best candidates to fill position
- Attend job fairs to market the company to potential new hires
- Coordinate drug testing of new hires and current employees as required
- Perform background checks
- Perform E-Verify (I-9, employment eligibility compliance)
- Manage all aspects of onboarding process for new hires, promotions, and separation process
- Maintain Complete Employee Records for Active and Terminated Staff
- Manage Workman’s comp, disability, and unemployment claims
- Review, Update and Maintain Personnel Policies, Procedures, Employee Handbook and Safety Manual
- Prepare Census, Workman’s Compensation Audits, EEO reporting, etc.
- Develop and Prepare Quarterly Newsletter
- PPE tracking, ordering & distribution
- Organize events / maintain and boost employee morale
- Reconcile, key and coordinate paying monthly invoices with CFO for benefits, WC, taxes, etc.
- Administer, track, reconcile and renewals of all benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, 401K, Aflac, Workers Compensation, FMLA, COBRA, etc.
- Organize, Track & Maintain Employee Certifications
- Maintain, Organize & Track Employee Clearance / Badging (DBIDS, etc.)
- Assist in special and administrative projects as necessary
- Additional duties as needed
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- BA in Human Resources preferred or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Knowledge of human resources and best practices (3-5 years)
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience with payroll a plus (QuickBooks and/or Sage 100 Contractor experience beneficial)
