Prior Authorization Specialist/Receptionist
Full Time, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
$18 + DOE 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist/Receptionist for a local medical office. The perfect fit will possess Prior Authorization experience in a medical setting. In this role, you'll be pivotal in securing timely and precise prior authorizations for medications. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that prior authorizations for medications are obtained efficiently and accurately.

**Responsibilities:**

- Review and process prior authorization requests from healthcare providers

- Verify insurance coverage and ensure all necessary information is included in the authorization request

- Communicate with insurance companies and our doctors to obtain authorization for medications

- Maintain accurate records of authorizations and follow-up as needed

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather additional information when required

- Stay updated on insurance policies, guidelines, and procedures related to prior authorizations

- Answer phones

- Check patients in and out

- Schedule appointments
