We are currently recruiting for a local company who is searching for a Receptionist/Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will pride themselves on accuracy, professionalism, and exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment. The Receptionist/Bookkeeper will manage front-office operations and support bookkeeping functions with efficiency and care.
Position Overview
The Receptionist/Bookkeeper will serve as the face of our firm, welcoming clients, managing communications, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records.
Key Responsibilities
Receptionist Duties (Primary Focus):
- Answer and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
- Schedule and manage client appointments using office software
- Greet clients warmly and maintain a professional front-office presence
- Handle client communications via phone, email, and mail
- Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area
Bookkeeping Duties:
- Enter financial data and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks
- Process invoices, track payments, and reconcile accounts
- Generate basic financial reports for client accounts and management
- Provide administrative support for bookkeeping clients
Tax Support (Seasonal):
- Organize client tax documents and assist with basic tax preparation tasks (training provided)
- Support accountants with document preparation and client follow-ups
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks and general bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional demeanor and attention to detail
