Full Charge Bookkeeper

$20/hour

Part-Time: 20-25 hours a week

Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays are a must

We are recruiting for a local company who is seeking a highly experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will bring comprehensive accounting, payroll, and QuickBooks experience, and is capable of managing multiple sets of books with precision and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Perform full-cycle accounting, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and managing accounts payable/receivable.
•  Process payroll and handle related tax filings in compliance with current regulations.
•  Prepare financial reports, client statements, and support audit readiness.
•  Manage client billing, ensure timely deposits, and maintain accounting accuracy across multiple accounts using QuickBooks (Online and Desktop).

Qualifications:

•  Minimum 5 years of recent accounting and payroll experience.
•  Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
•  Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
•  Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple clients independently.
•  Excellent communication skills; must work onsite in Chesapeake, VA.
•  Background check required.
