Warehouse Associate

Hours:  8:00-4:30 / M-F / Temp to Hire

Must have at least 2 years consecutive experience in one warehouse position for consideration !!

Position Overview

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing core warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping goods. The role ensures accurate inventory handling, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities Receiving

• Receive incoming deliveries with care and speed
• Accept and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
• Inspect products for accuracy and damage, report discrepancies
• Record received items in inventory management systems
• Maintain product date codes and balances
• Stack products in designated locations neatly onto storage shelves and racks (As instructed by type, color, size, style, product code, etc.)

Order fulfillment

• Pick products according to customer purchase orders with accuracy and speed
• Identify and contain incorrectly picked products
• Pack products securely and label packages accurately
• Strive to achieve accuracy targets as established by the company (99.8%)

Shipping

• Prepare orders for shipment in compliance with company standards
• Stage and organize outgoing shipments for carrier pick up on pallets and carts
• Complete shipping documentation as required

Assembly

• Produce customer-specific assemblies per work instructions
• Maintain quality control and use prescribed company processes
• Use tools, guides, fixtures, and special torque tools as designed and per instructions

General Warehouse Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Operate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, handheld scanners, box cutters, tape dispensers, ) as required (with training and authorization)
• Troubleshoot problems and resolve independently
• Communicate concerns to the direct supervisor, escalate emergencies to any manager on site
• Carry out tasks assigned by the warehouse manager or designated alternate

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent GED
• Prior experience in warehouse operations and knowledge of inventory control is preferred
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer literacy
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Required Job Functions

• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment
• Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8 hours per day
• Ability to lift up to 50
• Comply with all safety procedures and company policies
• Wear proper personal protective equipment
• Be willing to work overtime during peak periods
